Infusion Bottles
Infusion bottles can be made of Type I, or II glass as classified by USP660 or EP3.2.1 for its hydrolytic resistance for surface and grain tests. Type I infusion bottles are borosilicate glass with good chemical stability and resistance to thermal and mechanical shock. Infusion bottles for LVP (Large Volume Parenteral product) of standard IV,TPN, are often packed in Type II glass. Type II infusion bottles are inexpensive and conforms to USP/EP and ISO4802-2 for HC2. Infusion bottles are available in clear and amber color.
